Counselling
I provide individual counselling for:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Stress
- Gender Identity
- Sexuality
- Chronic Illness
- Life Changes
My psychotherapeutic approaches include: Person-Centred Therapy, Existential Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I work with individuals as well as those in relationships.
A counselling session is 50 minutes in duration.
I recommend that we meet initially three times at weekly intervals. This allows us to explore the issues that are of concern to you, for us to get to know each other and decide if we feel we could work together effectively. At the end of the three sessions we should be able to agree your goals for therapy and plan a way forward for you. That process is likely to involve regular (weekly) meetings to work to the specific issues you have identified. Exactly how long it will take to achieve those goals if difficult to say as each person is different. Therapy is often not a quick fix, so you should expect to attend regular sessions for several months.
